You are assigned "points" for the various factors below. Each factor has different rules for getting points. If you get 67 points you are allowed to immigrate.
- Education: The higher your level of education or training and your total years of education, the more points you get.
- Work Experience: You are awarded points for up to four years of work experience in a high skilled occupation within the past 10 years.
- Language Skills: The better you are at English and French language skills, the more points you get.
- Age: The closer your age is to between 21 and 49, the more points you get.
- Relative in Canada: If you or your spouse have a relative in Canada who will help you to settle in Canada, you get 5 points.
The Immigration Process
After you apply, you will receive acknowledgement of your application and a file number within a few months. Then the processing time will vary depending on which office you apply to. You may speed up the process considerably if you currently have a job in Canada or an offer of a job for after you get permanent residence.
How We Will Increase Your Chances of Success
We will do a free assessment of your chances. You could be surprised to find that your dependants have greater chances than you do. We will do a free assessment on them too. We will ensure that the immigration authorities assess each person with a good chance of success on your single application. If your chances are low, we will tell you why and advise you how to improve your chances at a later time.
The most important factor is the job you can do. We have experience matching your skills to the job with the highest demand and qualifications. This is crucial to maximizing the points you get. We may find a job that you are qualified for that you never would have thought you could do.
If you need to show a demand for your job by having your prospective employer advertise the job through the Canadian government, we will represent you and your employer with the Canadian authorities to maximize the chances that the demand will be shown.
