Provinces & Territories
Canada has a system of government that is very decentralized. The regional (provincial or territorial) governments have a lot of power that the central/federal government does not have including responsibility for natural resources, medical services and education.
There are 13 provinces and territories and each has a distinctive culture. Please see a political map of Canada here:
