What Jobs are In-Demand in Canada?
Goldman Associates is a recruitment agency for foreign workers as well as an immigration law firm. As of September 2011, we are finding that the following jobs are in very high demand in Canada and we expect to be able to find jobs for people in the following occupations:
- Glaziers – minimum of 5 years experience

Clients must have experience in glass and aluminum curtain wall systems. Commercial and residential experience.
- Tilesetters – minimum of 5 years experience
- Plasterers/Stucco – minimum of 5 years experience

Clients must have very good experience in stucco applications exterior and interior. Experience in interior finishing (drywall) an asset.
- Drywallers/Finishers minimum 5 years experience – must have steel stud and t-bar ceilings experience. Commercial and residential.
- Automobile Mechanics – 5 plus years of experience must be eligible for licensing.
- Heavy Equipment Mechanics – 5 plus years of experience must be eligible for licensing.
- Diesel Mechanics/Buses – 5 plus years of experience must be eligible for licensing.
- Carpenters – minimum of 5 years experience
- Renovation Carpenters
- Carpenters – Framing steel stud and timber
- Cabinet Makers (Millwork) minimum of 5 to 7 years experience – Commercial experience
- Cabinetmakers – minimum 5 yrs experience in commercial and residential
- Roofers (Metal, Tile, Slate, Asphalt Shingles, Flat Roofs) – minimum of 5 years experience. Flat roofers and Shinglers in large demand.
- Social Workers (Masters Degree) minimum of 2 years experience – must be registered in a province.
- Welders – minimum of 5 years experience
- Crane Operators – minimum of 5 years experience – must be eligible for licensing
- Registered Nurses in specialized areas: (minimum of 2 years experience) must be eligible for licensing.
- ICU
- Neonatal ICU
- Cardiac ICU
- Post Anesthesia
- Geriatrics
- Emergency
- Psychiatric/ Mental Health Nurses
- Painters and Decorators – minimum of 5 years experience – spray painting experience an asset.
- Insulators (Spray Foam Insulation) minimum of 5 years experience
- Pharmacists
- minimum 3 years experience
- British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario
- Must be assessed and ready to write the qualifying exam.
