This addresses my experience with Goldman Associates and Mr. Ian Goldman in the process of obtaining my permanent residency under spousal sponsorship in Canada.

From the first phone call I made to Virginia McInerney, who was so pleasant and helpful while setting up my initial consultation with Mr. Goldman, I felt very confident that I had made the correct choice in seeking the firm’s help in this process which had been highly recommended to me as well by a friend and former client.

I had both heard and read of many a nightmarish experience involving individuals who had gone through the process of securing their permanent residency and spousal sponsorship on their own, claiming it was both complicated and most stressful.

I was very concerned and a bit nervous about starting the procedure but after my first phone consultation with Mr. Goldman and all the subsequent talks and e-mails, I was reassured and felt much more confident. He made me feel at ease and was positive in every way. His help, council and guidance along with that of Amanda Li’s, who assisted in my case at the firm, was invaluable and made what could be an overwhelming process as uncomplicated as possible. Needless to say, there is still stress involved, but thanks to Mr. Goldman, every aspect of our application was in perfect order without a thing missing or left unanswered, so there was no need for contact or questions from immigration Canada. I also felt more confident in the knowledge that any contact, questions or concerns by immigration during the entire process would be directed to Goldman associates rather than to me, which made me feel so much more comfortable.

I have heard stories of this process without the legal assistance being very difficult and taking years, in many cases applications being returned several times for corrections, but for me, I was able to complete everything necessary for the application with Mr. Goldman and Amanda Li’s help in four months. It was mailed in to immigration Canada and my approval in principal was received in just five and a half months without a single contact about my case or application to my knowledge. I received my phone call from the local immigration office for my final meeting to finalize my permanent residency within 2 weeks of being approved and the final meeting within days of the phone call. I am sure that all cases do not go so smoothly, but I have no doubt that without Mr. Goldman, it’s unlikely that mine would have proceeded so quickly and without incident or problems.

He is also a very kind and caring person and made me feel comfortable right from our first conversation. He was easy for me to talk to immediately about my marriage and relationship, concerns, worries and any questions we had. It was very obvious right away that he really did care about our case and takes a great interest in helping us.

I cannot stress how important having a lawyer as exceptional as Mr. Goldman is, and was for me. He has made this experience a really good and positive one for us. As far as I am concerned, my husband Robert and I have Mr.Goldman to thank for my permanent residency and being able to remain here at home in Canada where I love and belong.

I will definitely recommend Goldman Associates based on our experience so far. At first we thought they seemed a little expensive but it has been well worth it for. There is peace of mind of knowing that the red tape is taken care of.
